St. St. Constantine and Helena is the first sea resort in Bulgaria, located 8 km north of Varna. Known for more than a century with its beautiful seascapes as a place of joy, recreation and meeting friends and loved ones along the coast. It owes popularity to its unique combination of cosy beaches, crystal clear air, mineral water with proven healing powers and clear blue sea.
The thermal-spring waters of the resort are one of its greatest treasures. Their healing properties are used for healing, rehabilitation and prevention at the balneological complexes of St. St. Constantine and Helena, in pools with hot mineral water, in various health, balneological, wellness and SPA programs, for improving both your physical and mental state. St. St. Constantine and Helena is accessible via the European road E87, close to Varna International Airport. There are convenient bus lines to the resort from Varna’s public transport system.
On the territory of the resort there are seven hot springs with mineral water which has healing properties. The thermal-spring waters are at a depth between 1,800 and 2,000 meters with a total flow rate of 1,75 l/s and a temperature of 40 to 60 °C. The beneficial effect of mineral water here was discovered in ancient times, and from its combination with the sea and clean air, its forces of impact are tripled. Throughout the year, St. St. Constantine and Helena operates pools and facilities with mineral water, which are used for balneotherapy and health prevention.
Thermal-spring waters are used as a preventive measure and as a means of treatment and recovery, so that people feel active, improve their resilience to stress and tension and, above all, their health. The sea and the healing mineral water are a health formula for success, which is complemented by the microclimate of St. St. Constantine and Helena. It is especially beneficial for treatment of the upper respiratory tract and allergies, and it boosts immunity.
It is no coincidence that in the past there was a popular sanatorium here for the treatment of such diseases and the place has helped many children and adults in their recovery. To this day, this unique natural combination is used in SPA treatment and preventive and treatment programs developed in Medical and SPA centres in the resort.
Grocery stores, pharmacies and bank offices are available all year round in St. St Konstantin and Elena. There is a shopping complex in the centre. The resort is famous for its restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, water sports and more. Farmers’ markets for goods from Bulgarian producers are organised periodically.
